CAU Men's Basketball Still Looking for First Win

Box Score Atlanta, Ga.---Six games into the season and the Clark Atlanta University men's basketball team remains winless after an 83-67 loss to Shorter University at home Saturday.

The Panthers (0-6) could not find their rhythm offensively as they trailed 44-30 at the half  with Jerrl Joye leading the way with 13 points in the period on 4-of-8 shooting from the floor. For every run that CAU tried to maintain in the second period, the Hawks had an answer, but their first half deficit was too much for the Panthers to overcome. Joye finished with a game-high 22 points followed by Johnell Young and Glyndelle Poole who added 10 and 12 points, respectively.

Anthony Banks led Shorter with 20 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the field and perfect from the charity stripe on four attempts.

Next, Clark Atlanta will host Carver College Monday, Dec. 10, at 8 p.m., in a game that was previously scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 11th.
