Lady Panthers Win Cross Country Invitational

Brittany Robinson Leads the Pack

Atlanta, GA – Brittany Robinson and Markeisha Woodson continued their dominance on the course as the duo helped Clark Atlanta University to its first cross country win of the season at the Morehouse Invitational Saturday .

Robinson topped all runners with a time of 21:54.11, while Woodson’s time of 21:54.25, was good for second place. The pair has traded cross country runner of the week honors so far during the first four weeks of the season with Woodson holding consecutive weekly titles and Robinson tagged in the last two weeks.

“This was a good meet for us to win and gauge where we are in the conference as a team,” said CAU Head Coach Pamela Page. “If we can stay healthy and continue to work, we can look forward to a successful season.”

The Lady Panthers competed against last year’s Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) champion Albany State along with other representatives from the SIAC. Other posted CAU times were Ariel Lomax (22:48.28), Tamara Comer (22:57.32) and Ieisha Ford (23:30.58).

Clark Atlanta will compete in the Tuskegee Cross-Country Invitational Saturday, Oct. 1, at 8 a.m.
