Dino Dawson is a member of the Clark Atlanta University Athletic Department staff after serving as a football coach for nearly 25 years.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Dawson played wide receiver at Ohio State University from 1984-87, before transferring to Kent State University to finish up his eligibility in 1988.
Dawson began his coaching career at his alma mater, Wayne State University, in 1992 before moving on to Illinois State where he served as defensive backs coach during the 1993-94 season. He followed that by making stops at Bowling Green University (1994-2000), the NFL's Detroit Lions (1998), University of Toledo (2001-02), University of Cincinnati (2002-04), Tuskegee University (2004-05), University of Illinois (2005-07), Alcorn State University (2008-10), Texas Southern (2010-11), and Langston University (2013-14).
Dawson served as both offensive coordinator and defensive coordinator, along with being a wide receivers and special teams coach during his career. Dawson completed his bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice at Wayne State University in 1991.
