ATLANTA — Clark Atlanta pushed Edward Waters to five sets Friday night at Epps Gymnasium before falling 20-25, 25-23, 25-21, 23-25, 15-7. The Panthers moved to 10-3 overall and 5-2 in SIAC play.

Kai Harris led Clark Atlanta with 15 kills and hit .242, the Panthers' highest percentage among players with at least 10 attacks. Sawyer Arbuckle added 14 kills, a team-high 19 digs and two service aces. Sydney Ray led the Panthers with 40 assists, while Nakayla James also had two aces. Brianna Little led Clark Atlanta with three total blocks, including one solo block.

Edward Waters jumped ahead 10-2 in the opening set, but Clark Atlanta rallied to take a 15-13 lead. A Harris kill later put the Panthers up 20-19, and a Coleman-Arbuckle block closed out the 25-20 win.

The second set was tied at 23 after a Harris kill, but Edward Waters took the next two points. The Tigers built a 15-7 lead in the third. Clark Atlanta cut the deficit to 21-20 before Edward Waters held on, 25-21.

Clark Atlanta forced a fifth set after a back-and-forth fourth. Edward Waters erased a 20-17 deficit and went ahead 21-20, but the Panthers regained the lead. Harris delivered the final kill in a 25-23 set win.

The Panthers led 6-5 in the fifth after an Arbuckle kill. Edward Waters then scored seven straight points to take control and finished the match 15-7. The Tigers improved to 4-6 overall and 3-3 in SIAC play.
