Three Panthers Earn SIAC Football Preseason Honors; Clark Atlanta Picked 10th in Preseason Poll

MACON – The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) has announced its 2026 Football Preseason Honors, with three Clark Atlanta football student-athletes earning recognition. Sophomore quarterback Xzavier Jackson and junior defensive lineman Jaiden Cleveland were named to the Preseason First Team, while sophomore wide receiver Chry'shawn Sellers earned Preseason Second Team honors as a kick returner. The Panthers were also picked to finish 10th in the SIAC preseason poll.

Jackson enters his sophomore season after earning SIAC Newcomer of the Year and Rookie of the Year honors in 2025. The Tampa, Florida, native threw for 2,103 yards and 18 touchdowns in just seven games during his freshman campaign. He opened his collegiate career by passing for 244 yards and four touchdowns against Allen before recording a season-high 425 passing yards and four touchdowns against Kentucky State.

Cleveland, a junior, totaled 50 tackles and five sacks during the 2025 season, anchoring the Panthers' defensive front.

Sellers earned Preseason Second Team recognition as a kick returner after totaling 523 return yards on 23 kickoff returns as a freshman. He also recorded 21 receptions for 345 yards and two touchdowns during the 2025 campaign.
