Panthers Fall to Morehouse in Double Overtime Despite Strong First Half

Clark Atlanta falls to Morehouse in second Battle of the Bigcats

ATLANTA, Ga. – Clark Atlanta built a commanding lead early but couldn't hold off a second-half surge from Morehouse, falling 85-79 in double overtime on Saturday afternoon at Frank L. Forbes Arena.

Ny'Mire Little led the Panthers (17-9, 14-5 SIAC) with a season-high 26 points, including four 3-pointers, while Jalen Williams added a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Martez Jones contributed 16 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

Clark Atlanta started hot, outscoring Morehouse 31-18 in the first half and leading by as many as 13 points early. The Panthers dominated the paint, scoring 32 points inside and forcing 10 turnovers from the Maroon Tigers (15-12, 12-7 SIAC).
However, Morehouse responded with a 44-point second half, led by Omar Rowe's 24 points on six 3-pointers. The Tigers took their first lead midway through the second half and held off a late rally by the Panthers.

Despite a strong defensive showing with six blocks and six steals, Clark Atlanta struggled with turnovers in the second half and shot just 27.7% from the field in double overtime.

Clark Atlanta looks to bounce back as they head to Benedict College on Monday, February 24. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. inside HRC Arena.
