Clark Atlanta Rolls Past Albany State Behind Jones’ 22-Point Performance

Lady Panthers remain in first place in SIAC Eastern Division

ALBANY, Ga. — Trinity Jones poured in a game-high 22 points to lead Clark Atlanta to a commanding 78-62 road victory over Albany State on Monday night at the Jones Brothers HPER Complex. Monday night's win marks the seventh-straight victory over Albany State dating back to the 2021 season.

The Lady Panthers (18-5, 11-3 SIAC) asserted their dominance early, outscoring the Golden Rams 39-21 in the first half while shooting an efficient 49.2% from the field. Clark Atlanta led by as many as 22 points in the fourth quarter, never relinquishing their control.
Jones led the charge with an 8-of-14 shooting performance, adding four free throws and two three-pointers. Brooklyn McKinley provided a spark off the bench with 20 points, knocking down five shots from beyond the arc. Corriana Evans contributed 15 points and seven rebounds, while the Lady Panthers' defense racked up 12 steals and eight blocks to stifle Albany State (7-13, 4-10 SIAC).

On the defensive end, Amberly Brown swatted a game-high four blocks and six rebounds to add.

Clark Atlanta capitalized on Albany State's 23 turnovers, scoring 34 points off giveaways. Despite a late push from the Golden Rams, who were led by Keyra Peterson's 16 points and nine rebounds, the Panthers maintained their lead and cruised to the win.
The Lady Panthers shot a season-high 46.7% from three-point range while shooting 49.2% from the field and 68.4% from the charity stripe. Clark Atlanta also won the battle on the boards 37-36 and outscored Albany State 46-36 in the paint.
