ATLANTA, Ga. – Jadyn Shider nabbed his second-straight double-double performance on the way to powering his Panthers to a 75-72 win over the Fayetteville State Broncos on Friday afternoon. With the win, the Panthers improve to 7-3 overall, winning six straight and going 2-0 in the Chris Paul HBCU Classic at Gateway Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED

Both teams remained disciplined defensively in the first half, with Fayetteville State holding a narrow seven-point advantage with eight minutes left to play in the first.
The Panthers closed out the first half on a 9-3 scoring run to knot the score at 35 apiece headed into the intermission.
Sam Kodi and Kalen White anchored the first half scoring for Clark Atlanta, with each scoring seven points apiece.
Neither team could get more than a four-point lead in the first half.
Shider and Kharye Cayne combined for 16 crucial points in the second half to help the Panthers pull away and win, 75-72.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE

The Panthers placed four players in double-figure scoring, with Jadyn Shider leading the charge with 15 points and 13 rebounds, Kalen White with 13 points, and Sam Kodi and Darnell Evans with 11 each.
On the defensive end, Kharye Cayne registered his third-straight game with three or more blocks as he swatted away three today.
Clark Atlanta shot their best game from long range this season as they drained 60% of their shots from beyond the arc.
The Panthers also edged the Broncos in second-chance points, 11-10.
