Clark Atlanta Baseball Announces 2025 Regular Season Schedule

Head coach Trennis Grant starts his first season at the helm of CAU baseball

ATLANTA, Ga. The Clark Atlanta University (CAU) baseball team has announced its 2025 regular-season schedule, with opening day set for Saturday, February 1, against Virginia State University. Under the new leadership of head coach Trennis Grant, hired in the summer of 2024, the Panthers aim to turn the tide as they embark on the upcoming season.

All home games will be played at Carver High School in Atlanta.

"After fall practices and training, I'm excited for the season, and I know the guys are as well," said head coach Trennis Grant. "We have a good coaching staff, and we've been pushing the team past their limits, maximizing every opportunity we get. The future is very bright for CAU baseball. We want to make an IMPACT and make HIStory this season here at Clark Atlanta. I challenge our guys daily and remind them of what our records have been over the past 10 years."

The Panthers begin the season with a home series against CIAA opponent Virginia State University on February 1-2, followed by another home series against Rust College on February 8-9. Conference play begins as Clark Atlanta hosts Spring Hill College on February 15-16, with Tuskegee University visiting for a series on February 22-23.

To close February and start March, the Panthers travel to Birmingham, Alabama, for a road series against Miles College at the historic Rickwood Field from February 28 to March 1. Clark Atlanta then returns home for a non-conference doubleheader against Morris College on March 4.

The Panthers continue their March schedule with a conference series against LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, Tennessee, on March 8-9. Following that, CAU will face former SIAC rival Paine College in Conyers, Georgia, on March 11 before hosting Lane College on March 15-16.

Clark Atlanta squares off against longtime rival Morehouse College at Gresham Park on March 22-23. To close the month, the Panthers will play a road doubleheader against Morris College on March 25, followed by a conference series at Albany State University on March 29-30.

The Panthers begin April at home with a series against Benedict College on April 5-6 before traveling to Frankfort, Kentucky, to face Kentucky State University on April 12-13. Clark Atlanta will close the regular season with two key conference matchups: hosting Savannah State University on April 18-19 and finishing with a road series at Edward Waters University on April 25-26.

"We can never forget where we came from, but we always have to know where we are going," said Coach Grant. "We're excited to compete and prove a lot to ourselves. Our goal is to make the SIAC Baseball Tournament and compete for a championship, but we'll take it one pitch, one out, one inning, and one game at a time."
