SAVANNAH, Ga. – In a narrow defeat, the Clark Atlanta men's basketball team fell to Savannah State, 52-50, on the road on Saturday afternoon. Inside Tiger Arena. The Panthers drop to 10-5 overall and 7-2 in conference play with the loss.

Jalen Williams led the way for Clark Atlanta with a team-high 14 points on the day.

The Panthers' first half shooting struggles proved costly as they shot 6-of-27 from the floor in the first 20 minutes. Despite outscoring the Panthers 24-18 in the first half, the Tigers only shot 36% from the field in the first half.

Clark Atlanta surged back in the second half, cutting the margin to just three points (30-27) after a pair of made free throws from Shemani Fuller with 14:20 left to play. The Tigers responded with a run to push the lead to 41-29 at the 9:52 mark in the second half.

Williams scored eight points in the final nine minutes but the late push wasn't enough as the Tigers capitalized on the early lead to secure a 52-50 win on their home floor.
