Lady Panthers Down Edward Waters in Midweek Clash

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – CAU brings home another win after traveling down to Florida and sweeping Edward Waters 3-0.

Clark had a total of 57 total points scored, 47 successful kills, seven service aces, three total blocks, 44 assists made, and 33 successful digs. This showcases a well-rounded performance performed by the Lady Panthers.

The first set was an entertaining start. Edwards Waters was up 3-1 before Clark started scoring. Throughout the set, the game was within one with each team either using an attack error as their advantage or racking up kills. Eventually, Clark was able to consistently score 25 points ending the set 25-23.

Set Two had a lot of back-and-forth action. The match was highly competitive, with the score tied at 12-12 and again at 14-14. As the match neared its conclusion, Edward Waters took a slight lead after some consistent plays. CAU's Drayton-Campbell and Mitchell responded with key kills, and service aces that kept the game close. The match ended with CAU securing a 25-19 victory.

The Lady Panthers' offensive depth proved too much, with consistent contributions from across their lineup. Drayton-Campbell played a key role in setting up her teammates, including a kill by Shynique McGee at 22-12. Kills from Mitchell seemed to drain any remaining momentum from Edward Waters. Despite a late surge, CAU sealed the set at 25-16 when Halle connected on another kill set up by Drayton-Campbell.

Shynique McGee with 15 kills and Sawyer Arbuckle followed with an impressive 12 kills, contributing significantly to the team's point total. Madison Spells added eight kills.

Serving was another highlight of the match, led by Sawyer Arbuckle, who recorded 3 aces. Kennedy Strickland contributed with two aces, and Dahlia Williams earned one ace, rounding out the serving performance. Setting up the offense was Allanah Drayton-Campbell, who led with an outstanding 41 assists. Her play-making ability was instrumental.

On defense, Madison Spells stood out with three blocks. Shynique McGee tallied two blocks, while Halle Mitchell added one block to assist in shutting down the opponent's attacks. Shynique McGee excelled with 11 digs, Sawyer Arbuckle supported with six digs, and Kennedy Strickland added four digs, all of which helped to keep the rally alive and provided second chances for the team.
