Panthers Drop Second-Straight in Loss to Holy Family in 2024 HBCU Harlem Renaissance Classic

Panthers fall to 2-3 on the season

RIVERDALE, N.Y. — Despite a spirited effort, Clark Atlanta fell short against Holy Family, losing 67-57 in the 2024 Harlem Renaissance Classic on Saturday afternoon.

Clark Atlanta showed grit, with Jalen Williams leading the charge. Williams posted a game-high 17 points, including a strong second half where he contributed 10 points. Sophomore Dior Davis also stood out, chipping in 9 points and grabbing 4 rebounds.

The Panthers' defensive efforts kept them in the game, forcing 14 turnovers and tallying 7 steals. However, Holy Family's balanced attack, led by Tairi Ketner's double-double of 16 points and 11 rebounds, proved too much. The Tigers used a strong first-half performance to build a lead and maintained their edge through timely free throws, converting 21 of 26 attempts.

Clark Atlanta, now 2-3, will look to bounce back as they return to conference play.
