BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Clark Atlanta men's baseball team won their first conference series of the season this past weekend as they downed Miles College on the road at Rickwood Field in Birmingham, Alabama.

GAME 1

HOW IT HAPPENED (GM 1)

• Eason Bing singled to bring Kentavious Veal home for the first score of the day at the top of the first.
• Asa Waites racked up two RBIs in the sixth inning to give CAU a 3-1 lead.
• The Panthers added four more scores to swell the lead to 7-1 in the seventh frame.
• Miles College cut the deficit to 7-4 in the ninth but Clark Atlanta held on to seal the game-one win.

ON THE MOUND (GM 1)

• Michael Fegins pitch 8.2 innings and struck out four batters on the way to the win.
• Justice Page picked up a save on the day.

INSIDE THE BOX (GM 1)

• Kentavious Veal, Cedric Holt, and Dorian Andrews each had two hits on the day for Clark Atlanta.
• Asa Waites led the Panthers in RBIs with a team-high two.

GAME 2

HOW IT HAPPENED (GM 2)

• Miles College held an early 3-1 advantage over Clark Atlanta in the bottom of the first inning.
• Both teams added on three scores apiece to sit the score at 6-3 in the third inning.
• Clark Atlanta erupted for eight runs in the fourth inning to take a commanding 11-6 lead.
• Miles tacked on six more scores to jump back in front by one run (12-11).
• Clark Atlanta outscored Miles 4-2 in the remainder of the game to win 16-14 and take a 2-0 lead in the series.

ON THE MOUND (GM 2)

• Andrew Garner got the win on the mound with two strikeouts and two runs allowed.
• Justice Page secured the save in 1.2 innings pitched and one strikeout.

INSIDE THE BOX (GM 2)

• Daniel Gay and Darrin Brown logged three hits apiece for the Panthers. Gay also registered four runs and one RBI in the win.
• Asa Waites and Kentavious Veal collected two hits apiece. Veal finished the day with three runs as well.
• Darrin Brown led the team in RBIs with four.

GAME 3

HOW IT HAPPENED (GM 3)

• Miles College took a 1-0 lead on a homer to left field in the first inning.
• Williams, Andrews, and Gay each scored in the third inning to give CAU a 3-1 advantage.
• Clark Atlanta's lead grew to as much as 8-3 in the fifth inning.
• Miles College battled back to steal the series finale 9-8.

ON THE MOUND (GM 3)

• Asa Waites took the loss on the mound but registered a game-high eight strikeouts.
• Isaiah Newman also logged two strikeouts on the day for Clark Atlanta.

INSIDE THE BOX (GM 3)

• Daniel Gay led the Panthers in hits with a team-high three with two runs to add as well.
• Andrew Garner and Kobe Williams had two hits apiece in the loss.
• Daniel Gay, Kobe Williams, and Dorian Andrews each registered two runs apiece on the day.
