ATLANTA, Ga. | The Clark Atlanta Lady Panthers softball team picked up its first sweep of the season as they took down Allen University on Saturday (Mar. 4) and Sunday (Mar. 5) at the Lady Panther Softball Field.

 HOW IT HAPPENED (GM 1)

• T'Maja Oges Moore singled to bring Jazmin Scott home and give CAU a 1-0 lead.
• Oges advanced to home on a passed ball to put CAU ahead 2-0 at the bottom of the first inning.
• Johannas Bentley scored on a Rachel Carroll sacrifice fly to right field.
• The Lady Panthers piled on five more runs to swell CAU's advantage to 8-0.
• The Yellow Jackets added two runs in the fourth inning to cut the deficit to 8-2.
• Jazmin Scott scored on a passed ball followed by a Maliyah Ward single to bring Shemia Clady home and seal the 10-2 win in the fifth inning

ON THE MOUND (GM 1)

• Shemia Clady got her first start on the mound and the win. Clady struck out four Lady Yellow Jackets while only allowing four hits and two runs on the day.
• Rachel Rolle took the loss for Allen after allowing five runs and one hit.
• DaeShonna Beckham-Timmons allowed three hits and five runs for Allen.

INSIDE THE BOX (GM 1)

• Jazmin Scott, T'Maja Oges Moore, Johannas Bentley, and Maliyah Ward each registered one hit apiece in game one.
• Scott and Bentley recorded two runs apiece in the win. They both picked up doubles on the day as well.
• Oges Moore led the Lady Panthers in RBIs with two.

HOW IT HAPPENED (GM 2)

• The Yellow Jackets jumped out to a 4-0 lead to start the first inning.
• Rachel Carroll put CAU on the board with a triple to bring Johannas Bentley home.
• The Lady Panthers scored 12 unanswered runs to end the game in the fifth inning and secure a 12-4 win over Allen.

ON THE MOUND (GM 2)

• Ymari Blackmon got the win for Clark Atlanta on the mound to improve to 3-3 on the season. Blackmon struck out two Lady Yellow Jackets and allowed eight hits on the day.
• DaeSHonna Beckham Timmons suffered the loss for Allen.

INSIDE THE BOX (GM 2)

• Rachel Carroll and Sierra Lopez each registered triples on the day for Clark Atlanta.
• Johannas Bentley whacked two doubles in the win with an RBI to add to her stat line.
• Bentley led the Lady Panthers in hits on the day with three total.

ON THE MOUND (GM 3)

• Ymari Blackmon picked up the win on the mound after only allowing one hit and zero runs in the series finale. Blackmon struck out three batters on the way to the win.
• Shemia Clady earned a save on the day as she pitched two innings for CAU.
• Rachel Rolle took the loss for Allen.

INSIDE THE BOX (GM 3)

• Rachel Carroll logged two inside-the-park homers in the win for CAU. Carroll also had four RBIs and two runs on the day.
• Jazmin Scott, Johannas Bentley, Rachel Carroll, and Shemia Clady each logged a multi-hit game for Clark Atlanta.
• Clady registered two doubles for the Lady Panthers.

The Lady Panthers return to action on Thursday, March 9, to take on Miles College in the first game of the SIAC Crossover Tournament in Jasper, Alabama.
