GAME 1
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. | The Clark Atlanta men's baseball team secured its first win of the season as they took down the Wilberforce Bulldogs 7-4 in a seven-inning matchup at the Peachtree City Classic at the Home Plate Baseball Facility.
Clark Atlanta snatched the lead late in the game in a 7-4 victory over Wilberforce on Thursday. The game was tied at four with Clark Atlanta batting in the bottom of the fifth when Daniel Gay drew a walk, scoring one run.
Wilberforce got on the board in the first inning when J.R. Young doubled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
In the bottom of the fourth inning, CAU tied things up at four when an error scored one run for the Panthers.
CAU put up three runs in the fourth inning. Kentavious Veal and Eason Bing each had RBIs in the big inning.
Jorden Dixon got the win for Clark Atlanta. The lefty allowed zero hits and zero runs over two innings, striking out three and walking zero. Justice Page threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Page recorded the last three outs to earn the save for CAU.
Seth Bradley took the loss for Wilberforce University. The right-hander went four and two-thirds innings, allowing six runs on five hits and striking out five.
Asa Waites started the game for Clark Atlanta. The right-hander went four innings, allowing four runs on seven hits, striking out four, and walking one
Clark Atlanta had six hits in the game. Cedric Holt and Veal all managed multiple hits for the Panthers. Veal and Holt all had two hits to lead the Panthers.
Wilberforce University racked up seven hits. Young and Joe Mendy each managed multiple hits for the Bulldogs.

GAME 2
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. | The Clark Atlanta Panthers jumped out to an early lead over Wilberforce University and took home a 13-1 victory in the second game of Thursday's doubleheader. Â
Clark Atlanta University Panthers Varsity scored on a single by Michael Sims in the first inning.
In the bottom of the first inning, Wilberforce tied things up at one when an error scored one run for Wilberforce University.
Clark Atlanta pulled away for good with one run in the second inning. In the second a sacrifice bunt by Corrage Montgomery scored one run for the Panthers.
CAU put up four runs in the seventh inning. The Panthers scored its runs on a grand slam by Justice Page.
ZyKoabi Randolph pitched Clark Atlanta to Thursday's victory. The hurler went five innings, allowing one run on two hits and striking out six. Jermyn Brock Jr and Mario Beavers entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.
Orlando Olvera took the loss for Wilberforce. The pitcher allowed six hits and nine runs over five and a third innings, striking out four.
Clark Atlanta launched one home run on the day. Page had a four-bagger in the seventh inning.
The Panthers totaled eight hits on the day. Kentavious Veal and Sims each had multiple hits for CAU. Sims and Veal all had two hits to lead Clark Atlanta University Panthers Varsity.
Keith Smith Jr. led Wilberforce with two hits in three at-bats.
