Lady Panthers Tennis Picks Up First Home Loss of the Season

ATLANTA, Ga. | The Clark Atlanta women's tennis team suffered their first home loss of the season to the Georgia College Wildcats 7-0 on Monday afternoon at the Clark Atlanta Tennis Courts.

DOUBLES PLAY

The pairing of Madison Moffatt and Gabrielle Blanks fell in the first doubles match of the day, 6-3 to Emma Fleming and Chiara Santoro. The duo of Shani Idlette and Anaiah Jones dropped their doubles match to the GCSU pairing of Jada Young and Ashton Morrison, 6-1 in the second double match of the day. Shereese Henry and Jumai Muhammed finished doubles play with a 6-0 loss to Sofia Shing and Shradha Chhabra.

SINGLES PLAY

Kristen Blount started singles play with a 6-0, 6-0 defeat at the hands of Sofia Shing. Jumai Muhammed fell short to Chiara Santoro, 6-2, 6-0. Shani Idlette dropped her singles match, 6-3, 6-2 to Shradha Chhabra. Kenyon Thompkins fell to Ashton Morrison, 6-1, 6-3. Gabrielle Blanks lost 6-1, 6-2 to Laura Almagro. Anaiah Jones finished off singles play for the Lady Panthers with a 6-0, 6-1 loss to Ansley Morrison.
