SAVANNAH, Ga. | The Clark Atlanta Women's tennis team went 3-0 this weekend at the SIAC Mini Round-Up hosted by Savannah State University. The Lady Panthers took down Tuskegee 5-2, Fort Valley State 6-0, and Savannah State 4-3.
MATCH 1 VS TUSKEGEE (5-2)
DOUBLES PLAY
The Lady Panthers swept doubles play once again on Saturday. The CAU pairing of Madison Moffatt and Gabrielle Blanks defeated Dayna Jackson and Chloe Griffin-Harrin 6-1. Shani Idlette and Anaiah Jones took down Jadyn Lynch and Jera Hargrove 6-1, in the number two doubles match. The duo of Shereese Henry and Jumai Muhammed finished off doubles play with a 6-2 win over Taylor Ford and Barbara Phillips.
SINGLES PLAY
Jumai Muhammed started off singles play with a 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) tiebreaker loss to Taylor Ford in the number one singles match. Kristen Blount picked up the Lady Panthers first singles win of the day after taking down Barbara Phillips 6-2, 6-2 in the number two singles match. Shani Idlette fell short in her singles match 6-1, 7-6 (7-2) to Dayna Jackson. Gabrielle Blanks found a victory over Chloe Griffin-Harrin 6-4, 7-6 (7-4) in the number four singles match. Madison Moffatt followed up in the number five spot with a 6-1, 6-0 win over Jera Hargrove. In the number six spot, Anaiah Jones took down Mikiah Stephenson 6-0, 6-4.
MATCH 2 VS FORT VALLEY STATE (6-0)
DOUBLES PLAY
The CAU pairing of Madison Moffat and Gabrielle Blanks picked up the first doubles win of the day as they took down Valerie Dorelein and Samaar Davis 6-2. The Lady Panthers duo of Anaiah Jones and Shani Idlette picked up an identical 6-2 win over London Lawson and Avery Harris to finish off doubles play.
SINGLES PLAY
The Lady Panthers went undefeated in singles play on the day. Jumai Muhammed started it off with a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Samaar Davis. Kristen Blount followed it up with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Jordynn Middlebrook. CAU's Gabrielle Blanks picked up another singles win with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over London Lawson. Keynon Thompkins found success on the day as well as she took down Valerie Dorelien 7-5, 6-3. In the final singles match of the day, Shani Idlette downed Avery Harris 6-2, 6-3.Â

DOUBLES PLAY
The Lady Panthers went undefeated in doubles play against the Lady Tigers. The CAU pairing of Madison Moffatt and Gabrielle Blanks took down the SSU duo of Gabrielle Benn and Amarlia Benn 7-6. CAU's Shani Idlette and Anaiah Jones downed Padmasree Murugan and Sunzahra Banks 6-4. To finish off doubles play, Shereese Henry and Jumai Muhammed prevailed victorious over Sarah Joachim and Stella Ekwalla 6-0.

Clark Atlanta went 3-3 in singles play on the day. Jumai Muhammed started off singles with a 6-2, 7-5 loss to Gabrielle Benn. Keynon Thompkins fell in the number two singles match of the day 6-3, 2-1 to Amarlia Benn of SSU. Kristen Blount followed up in the number three match with a 6-2, 6-4 loss to Padmasree Murugan. The Lady Panthers finished off singles play strong though as Shani Idlette picked up a 6-2, 6-0 win over SSU's Sunzahra Banks. Gabrielle Blanks also found success in singles play after taking down Sarah Joachim 6-1, 6-0. In the number six singles match of the day, Madison Moffatt swept Stella Ekwalla 6-0, 6-0.
