PREVIEW: Volleyball Heads to the Coast for a Pair of Conference Clashes

Lady Panthers look to continue success in conference play

ATLANTA, Ga. – Lady Panthers' Volleyball returns to action on the road as they head to Savannah, Ga. to take on the Savannah State Tigers on Friday, October 27, at 6 p.m. inside Tiger Arena followed by a matchup with the Edward Waters Tigers on Saturday (Oct. 28) in Jacksonville, Fla.
 
The Lady Panthers and Savannah State last met on October 13, when Clark Atlanta took down SSU 3-2 inside the friendly confines of Epps Gymnasium. The All-time series between the two programs is tied at four wins apiece.

Clark Atlanta and Edward Waters last met on October 14, when EWU downed Clark Atlanta 3-1 for CAU's third home loss of the season. Saturday's match will be the sixth meeting all-time with EWU leading the series 4-1 dating back to 2021.

Scouting the Panthers 
  • The Lady Panthers are 15-8 overall and 11-4 in SIAC play.  
  • Shynique McGee (Atlanta, Ga.) leads the Panthers offensively with 305 kills and a team-high attacking percentage (.274).   
  • McGee looks to extend her double-figure kill streak to 15 games. 
  • Nakayla James (Altamonte Springs, Fla.) ranks second to McGee in digs with 221 at the libero position.
  • Allanah Drayton-Campbell (Duncanville, Texas) is CAU's top facilitator, setting a team-high 416 assists through 23 games.
  • Dahlia Williams (Fairburn, Ga.) ranks fifth in the SIAC in block with 68 total in her freshman campaign.
Scouting Savannah State 
  • The Tigers are 12-9 overall and 8-8 against SIAC competition. 
  • Savannah State took down Fort Valley this past Tuesday, 3-1, on the road.
Scouting Edward Waters
  • Edward Waters heads into the weekend with a 17-5 record and a 14-1 record in SIAC play.
  • The Lady Tigers have won six straight headed into Saturday's matchup
