ATLANTA, Ga. | Justin Longstreet went off for a game-high 23 points to help power the Clark Atlanta men's basketball team to a 73-66 overtime win over conference rival Morehouse on Saturday afternoon (Jan. 21) inside Forbes Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED 

• Jalen Williams knocked down a pair of three's followed by a score from Demetrius Headspeth to push CAU out in front 8-0 just three minutes into the contest. 
• Morehouse put together a 9-2 run to take a 13-12 lead at the 11:51 mark in the first half.
• Both teams traded baskets until Justin Longstreet was able to score five straight points to put Clark Atlanta back in front 21-18 with just under six minutes to play in the opening half.
• Longstreet logged 11 first-half points to send the Panthers into the intermission with a 33-29 advantage.
• Morehouse opened the second half with a three-pointer to cut the deficit down to one, 33-32.
• MC regained the lead after opening the second half on a 7-0 run (36-34).
• Longstreet responded with a layup to tie the game at 36 apiece.
• Both clubs battled back and forth until CAU took a 42-40 lead with 13 minutes left to play.
• With 8:24 left to play in the second half, Dez'mond Perkins gave CAU a 48-44 lead on a made layup.
• The Panther lead ballooned to 61-51 with just under three minutes left in regulation. 
• Morehouse stormed back with a 10-0 run to tie the game at 61 all and send both teams into overtime knotted at 61.
• Morehouse got on the board first in extra time behind two made free throws to take a 63-61 lead.
• Jalen Williams knocked down a pair of free throws and Justin Longstreet put in a three-pointer to put CAU back in front by three points (66-63).
• Morehouse was able to tie the score once more at 66 apiece, but CAU held on to prevail in overtime 73-66.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE 

• Justin Longstreet led all scorers with 23 points on 9-of-17 shooting from the floor, 5-of-8 from three, and 0-for-1 from the foul line. Longstreet also logged three assists and two rebounds in the win.
• Jalen Williams (16) and Dez'Mond Perkins (12) also scored in double figures for CAU.
• Williams and Horace Wyatt III led the Panthers in rebounds with seven apiece on the boards. 
• As a team, the Panthers shot 48.3 percent from the field, 40.9 percent from three, and 50 percent from the charity stripe. 
• Clark Atlanta's reserves chipped in 35 of the Panthers' 73 points.
• The game saw seven lead changes
• Morehouse outrebounded Clark Atlanta 38-33.
