Chris Martin had 24 points and Clark Atlanta led the entire game as they defeated Allen 86-76 at L.S. Epps Gymnasium Monday.

Clark Atlanta improved to 7-9 overall and remains at 3-6 in Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.  CAU halted their three-game losing streak, a slide that came after a three-game winning streak. Allen falls to 4-14 this season.

Monday, CAU led by as many as ten points in the first half, leading 24-14 after two Jalen Williams free throws at the 7:18 mark in the first half.  A couple of minutes later, Allen then went on an 11-2 run as Mohamed Alkadi had a layup and Stanley Christian got two baskets to pull the Yellow Jackets to within one at 26-25.  Three pointers by Martin and Williams helped CAU push that lead back out to seven points just before halftime.

In a second half that saw CAU hit 62 percent of their shots, the Panthers led by as many as 21 points and only let the lead dip below ten twice in the half in controlling the second half and getting the win.

Clark Atlanta outrebounded Allen 35-29, forced 13 turnovers leading to 22 points, and outscored the Yellow Jackets in fast break points 18-6.

Martin had 24 points, six rebounds and six assists while Williams finished with 18 points and nine rebounds.  Justin Longstreet had 15 points while Kye Jeremiah had 13.

Allen was led by Stanley's 22 points and game-high 14 rebounds while Akadi finished with 19 points.

Clark Atlanta is on the road this week as they take on Miles College Wednesday at 7:30 p.m., Central time.
