Williams Has Big Night in Loss at Lane

JACKSON, Tenn. — Jalen Williams had a double-double as he registered game highs with 21 points and 13 rebounds, but Clark Atlanta lost to Lane 63-58 in a Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) game 

Lane improves to 5-6 overall and 3-3 in the conference while Clark drops to 1-9 overall and 0-4 in the SIAC.

Gwarren Douglas was also in double figures for the Panthers as he finished with 11 points to go with five rebounds. Williams had 14 of his 21 points from the foul line as he was 14 of 16 from the charity stripe.

Clark Atlanta was 17 of 44 (38.6 percent) from the floor while making 1 of 8 from 3-point range. 

Lane was 23 of 54 (42.6 percent) from the field and made 4 of 21 (19 percent) from behind the arc.

Lane led by as many as six in the first half on three different occasions and the Dragons led 28-25 at the half.

Clark used a 9-0 run turning a 33-32 deficit into a 41-33 lead with 15:11 left

The Panthers had their largest lead of the game 51-39 with 9:45 left, before Lane scored 12 straight to regain the lead 52-51 with 5:30 remaining.

Clark led 54-53 with 4:14 left but the Panthers were outscored down the stretch.

The Panthers are back in action on Saturday at LeMoyne-Owen College at 4:00.
