ATLANTA, Ga. -, Clark Atlanta fell to fellow Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference foe Tuskegee 43-45 in double overtime. The Panthers led by as many 10 points in the fourth quarter but couldn't hold on as Tuskegee kick a field goal with 8 seconds remaining to send the game into overtime.

 The visiting Tigers jumped out to 7-0 on 10-yard rush by Malik Davis. The Panthers would answer on a 29-yard field goal by Claudio Quintan.  Tuskegee added a field goal of its own by Andre' Howard to take a 10-3 lead after the 1
st quarter. In the 2
ndquarter, saw the Panthers score on a
Joseph Little 8-yard TD reception from QB Shariff Brown and a failed two-point conversion would make the score 10-9.  Tuskegee adds a 25-yard field goal by Arnes Huskic and the Tigers would take a 13-9 lead into halftime.

Out the half, CAU would drive the ball 70 yards capped off by a 4-yard TD run by Shariff Brown, next the Panthers forced a Tiger fumble in its own territory and capitalized on the turnover with a 6-yard TD reception by
Darren Stephens from Shariff Brown. Tuskegee answered with a 29-yard rushing TD by Taurean Taylor and Clark Atlanta took a 23-20 lead going into the 4
th quarter.

In the 4
th quarter, Clark Atlanta had a 11 play 84-yard drive ended with a 1-yard TD run by Shariff Brown.  Tuskegee would answer the CAU drive with a 7 play 75-yard drive with a 6-yard TD run by Donte Edwards.  The Panther would then have an opportunity to complete the upset by scoring or forcing the Tigers to use their timeouts to run out the clock but several penalties on the possession force the Panthers to punt with 3:11 left in the game. The Tigers drove the ball 73 yards to kick a 24-yard field goal with 8 seconds left to tie the game and send into overtime.

The 1
st overtime each team traded touchdowns and extra points.  A new rule by the NCAA rules committee states each team must now go for the two-point conversion after the first overtime. In the 2
nd overtime CAU possessed the ball first and score a 3-yard TD run by Shariff Brown. The two-point conversion failed making the score 43-37 CAU.  Tuskegee's Corey Petty scored on 10-yard TD pass from Malik Davis to tie the game and converted the two-conversion on a rush by Malik Davis to hand the Panthers their fourth straight loss.

 Clark Atlanta QB Shariff Brown making his first start rushed for 4 and passed for 2 touchdowns.The Panthers rushed the ball 35 times for 176 yards. Daquan Kinsey rushed for a team-high 111 yards on 22 carries. Shariff Brown rushed twelve times for 78 yards. Passing Brown was 12-22 180 yards. Several Panthers hauled in receptions with
Devon McCoy leading the group with 4 receptions for 96 yards.Â
Alvin Jones recorded 2 receptions for 43 yards.Â
Xavier Hopkins led the Panthers with 12 solo tackles followed by Terrance Wallace and
Julian Little with 7 tackles.

Clark Atlanta travels to Columbia, SC to take on Allen University in SIAC contest at 6:00 p.m. Saturday and then will face SIAC East rival Savannah State on October 15, at 2:00 p.m. for Homecoming.
