Clark Atlanta Falls to Albany State 54-19

Clark Atlanta gave up nearly 400 yards on the ground and turned the ball over three times as Albany State defeated the Panthers 54-19 Saturday at CAU Panther Stadium.

CAU (0-4, 0-2 SIAC) led 6-0 early in the first quarter when Terrance Harris picked up a Tracy Scott fumble and returned it 47 yards for a touchdown.  But during the first three minutes of the second quarter, Albany State (2-2, 1-0 SIAC) converted three consecutive Panther turnovers into touchdowns to take a 20-6 lead.

The Golden Rams converted two following CAU three-and-outs into a touchdown and a field goal to extend their lead to 30-6 at halftime.

Albany State scored 17-unanswered points in the third quarter to go up 47-6.   In the fourth quarter, Charles Stafford tossed two touchdown passes to Corey King, one for 27 yards and another for five yards, those touchdowns bookended a 72-yard TD run by ASU's Matavion Brooks.
