In the second game Monday, the Lady Panthers battled Benedict, the fourth seed, four five tough sets.  CAU took the first set 25-20, but Benedict bounced back and took the next set 25-22.   In the third set, Prude's kill ignited a big CAU run where they scored nine of ten points midway through the set to grab an 18-14 lead, and held off Benedict to win the set 25-20.   In the fourth set, Benedict trailed early but took the lead at 3-2 and stayed ahead to take the set 25-19.

In the deciding fifth set, it was Clark Atlanta who never trailed, opening a lead as large as ten points, as they defeated Benedict 15-6 to win the match 3-2.

Thomas led CAU with 18 kills and three blocks, and two digs, while Prude finished with 14 kills and 13 digs.  Elmore had ten kills and two aces, and Nelson finished with 49 assists, nine digs.  Shaya Shally-Jensen had seven kills, 13 digs and two aces, Alexis Elmore had 22 digs and two aces, and TiAna Crider had 12 digs and two assists.
