COLLEGE PARK, Ga. - Clark Atlanta baseball split the Saturday doubleheader versus Benedict before falling in the series finale on Sunday.

HOW IT HAPPENED (SATURDAY GAME 1 - L | 4-3)
Each team plated two runs in the first inning with CAU plating two unearned runs in the home half of the inning.

Clark Atlanta took the 3-2 lead in the third inning on a single to left field by
Kelechi Anyanwu bringing home
Ceontae Brandon.

Benedict would score twice in the top of the fourth inning capping the scoring in the game.

Jason Howell went 2-for-3 for half of the Panther hits.
Jamari Randle had the fourth CAU hit.

Anthony Nettles (2-6) pitched the seven-inning complete game striking out 10 batters and only allowing a pair of earned runs.
HOW IT HAPPENED (SATURDAY GAME 2 - W | 5-4 | 8 Innings)
Benedict scored once in the top of the first before Anyanwu crossed the plate on a passed ball to tie the game in the first inning.

Three Tiger runs in the third inning had CAU trailing 4-1 before
Raphael Andrades hit a 2-run homerun to center field - his fourth of the season - with Howell aboard.

Arias Smith tied the game in the sixth inning with a solo homerun - his second of the season - to left field.
Benedict was held scoreless in the top of the eighth inning. In the home half of the inning the Panthers had two runners on with two outs when Anyanwu delivered the RBI single through the left side to score Brandon from second base for the walk-off win.

Clark Atlanta had 10 hits in the second game of the day with Anyanwu going 3-for-5 along with Howell, Andrades and Smith each adding two hits.

Dillon Stafford (2-2) pitched six innings in relief to pick up the victory after striking out 11 batters with just two hits allowed.
Ryan Betts started on the mound and lasted two innings allowing just four hits.
HOW IT HAPPENED (SUNDAY - L | 6-1)
Trailing 2-0 in the home sixth innings, Andrades hit his fifth homerun of the season for the lone run for Clark Atlanta.

Benedict added one more run in the seventh before three runs scored for the Tigers in the eighth inning.

Andrades and Smith each went 2-for-4 for four of the five hits for CAU with
Darian Taylor adding the other base hit.

Jezreel Moore (3-4) started the game and pitched 7.1 innings with three strikeouts.
Jordan Johnson pitched the final 1.2 innings allowing just one hit and striking out two.
SERIES NUMBERS:
Andrades has now reached base in 11 consecutive games after going 4-for-10 in the series with two homeruns and three RBI.

Anyanwu, Andrades, Howell and Smith all had a team-high four hits on the weekend.
