COLUMBIA, S.C. - Clark Atlanta women's basketball surrendered the second highest scoring day of the season in a road loss to Benedict; 88-68. In the game,
Lauren Turner tallied her fourth double-double of the season with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Quarter | CAU opened the game with a 5-0 run after
Marissa Mandeldove was 2-for-2 from the FT line ahead of
Lauren Turner knocking down a 3-pointer in the opening minute of the game.
Sydni Davis gave the Panthers the nine-point lead after making the second of two shots from the FT line; 11-2. Davis again stretched the lead to nine points from the FT line with 4:41 to play in the quarter; 16-7. A 14-1 run from Benedict moved the home team to the lead late in the quarter before Davis was good on a jumper to end the scoring with CAU trailing; 21-19.
Second Quarter | Back-to-back layups to start the quarter from Turner and Davis gave Clark Atlanta the lead; 23-21. Benedict ended the half with a 17-5 run as CAU was held to nine points in the quarter. The Panthers trailed at the intermission; 36-28.
Third Quarter | Mandeldove scored the first Panther points in the second half on a layup with 9:06 to play before
Nicole Graham was good on a layup to cut the deficit to nine points; 41-32. BC went on a 16-5 run to register the 20-point advantage late in the third quarter but Davis hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer as Clark Atlanta trailed; 60-44.
Fourth Quarter | Turner was good on a jumper early in the quarter and she scored the final point of the game for Clark Atlanta from the FT line with 1:29 to play as CAU was outscored in the final 10 minutes; 28-24.
TEAM NUMBERS:
Clark Atlanta shot 24-for-68 (35.3 percent) from the floor and was 17-for-25 (68 percent) from the FT line. The Panthers struggled from behind the arc, going just 3-for-13.
The teams tied for scoring in the paint; 34-34. CAU was outmatched in bench scoring, 73-24, second chance scoring, 24-6, and points off turnovers, 23-16. CAU forced 20 turnovers but committed 19.
INDIVIDUAL NUMBERS:
Davis led CAU in scoring with 21 points off the bench. Mandeldove (19) and Turner (16) also scored in double digits.
Turner had a team-high 11 rebounds to register her fourth double-double of the season.
Reyana Miller led CAU with five steals while Mandeldove added four.
