MOBILE, Ala. - Clark Atlanta women's basketball fell on the road at Spring Hill; 78-74. CAU fell behind to start the second half and despite outscoring the home team in the fourth quarter could not rally for the road victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
First Quarter | Naquaisha Rattray opened the scoring for the Panthers with a FT 17 seconds into the game and followed that with a layup off the assist from 
Reyana Miller putting CAU ahead; 3-0. 
Nicole Graham stopped an 8-0 run by Spring Hill with a 3-pointer. A jumper by 
Marissa Mandeldove tied the game with 41 seconds to play in the opening quarter; 17-17.
 
Second Quarter | A layup by 
Lauren Turner off the pass from Mandeldove gave the Panthers the 19-17 advantage a capped a 12-4 run for CAU. SHC tied the game moments later before Clark Atlanta embarked on a 10-4 run to take the 29-22 lead in which Turner scored the final six Panther points. 
Sydni Davis would later bookend a 6-0 run with a pair of jumpers as the Panthers went into the intermission leading 39-33.
 
Third Quarter | Spring Hill scored the first 11 points in the second half to retake the lead; 44-39. Miller stopped the run with a layup followed by a 3 from Graham and jumper from Davis as CAU moved ahead; 46-44. The teams went back-and-forth with small leads until the Badgers ended the quarter on a 11-4 run to lead 61-54 as the game entered the final quarter of play.
 
Fourth Quarter | Clark Atlanta pulled within three points after a Turner jumper and a pair of made FT by Mandeldove; 63-60. After back-to-back 3-pointers for SHC, Turner was good from behind the arc to keep the deficit six points; 69-63. Tuner and Miller teamed up to score all the points in a 7-0 run to pull within one point with 3:20 remaining; 71-70. Mandeldove twice brought CAU back within one point in the final two minutes. A layup from the Badgers along with a late FT capped the game scoring.
TEAM NUMBERS:
Clark Atlanta shot 29-for-60 (48.3 percent) from the floor and 13-for-19 (68.4 percent from the FT line while making 3-of-12 from 3-point range.
 
CAU forced 25 SHC turnovers that were turned into 21 points. CAU led the game in points off turnovers, 21-18, bench scoring, 35-34 and fastbreak scoring, 9-0.
 
The Panthers led the game for 11:24 and led by as many as 11 points in the second quarter; 35-24.
INDIVIDUAL NUMBERS:
Tuner led all players with 19 points as three other Panthers scored in double digits. Joining her were Mandeldove (16), Davis (16) and Miller (10) .
 
Miller posted a career-high with nine rebounds to tie for the game-high.
 
Turner also posted the game-high with five steals  while Mandeldove and Miller led CAU with four assists apiece.
