HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 1:Albany State scored seven runs through the first three innings prior to Clark Atlanta putting runs on the board. In the home third, CAU scored three times.
Jessica Vason delivered the 2-RBI double to right center field scoring
Kendall Washington and
Ashley Nelson. Vason would later score on a double by
Sharnitra Woods down the left field line.
Albany State would score twice in the fourth and four times in the fifth to end the game.
Ajada Cofield (4-11) pitched the complete game with 13 hits surrendered while allowing 13 runs - nine earned - with two strikeouts.
Four Panthers each tallied one hit. Nelson walked twice in three plate appearances.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 2:Clark Atlanta spotted Albany State an 8-0 lead heading to home half of the second inning. Woods connected on a homerun to left field on the first pitch of the second inning.
Ki'esha Young singled through the right side and later scored on a sacrifice by
Briana Aldridge.
Woods added her second homerun of the game - her third multi-homerun game of the season - to left field with two outs in the third inning for the final CAU runs of the game.
Shalonda Woods (1-5) pitched her fifth complete game of the season with 14 hits allowed leading to 11 runs - 10 earned - with three walks and no strikeouts.
Zhandria Usher and
Sharnitra Woods each had two hits in the second game on Saturday.
HOW IT HAPPENED GAME 3:Clark Atlanta avoided the perfect game with a leadoff walk to
Tenicia Winston in the fourth inning for the first Panther base runner with Albany State already leading 9-0.
Vason delivered her second hit of the series to start the home fifth inning to break up the no-hit bid.
Cofield (4-12) pitched her second complete game of the series - 12th of the season - and gave up 10 hits leading to nine runs - eight earned - with two strikeouts and two walks.

Clark Atlanta scored six runs on 11 hits in the series with three complete games thrown by the Panther starting pitchers.
