ATLANTA, Ga. - Trailing by as much as 22 points in the second half, Clark Atlanta rallied late but fell short to visiting Georgia College, 83-74. The deficit was as little as six points, 76-70, with 1:24 left in the game.

HOW IT HAPPENED:Derrick Herbert opened the scoring with a jumper 16 seconds into the game.
After GC tied the game, CAU retook the lead with a pair of successful FT from
James Arnold pushed the score to 4-2 with 18:38 remaining.
Clark Atlanta would not lead again until 6:20 was left in the opening half when
Cornell Barnett took the Herbert assist and made a jumper, pushing the score to 25-24.
CAU would establish the largest lead of the game, 31-27, after
Lawrance Freeman was good from 3-point range with 3:55 left in the first half.
The Bobcats closed the half on a 12-2 run to lead at the intermission, 39-33.
Georgia College dominated the opening portion of the second half, taking the score to 70-48 with 8:23 remaining.
CAU whittled the lead to just six points, 76-70, utilizing a 22-6 run. The run saw points scored from
Chuka Eneh, Arnold, Freeman, Herbert,
Devante Harvey, and Barnett.
In the final minute of the game, only a jumper by GC was scored away from the free throw line.
THE NUMBERS:Barnett and Freeman each recorded identical double-doubles with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Herbert and Harvey each scored 11 points, with Eneh adding 10.
Herbert dished out a team-high six assists.
CAU shot 43.8% from the floor, 21.4% from 3-point range, and 57.7% from the charity stripe.
The Panthers scored seven points off seven Bobcat turnovers.
The CAU bench contributed 20 points, while the Panthers scored 16 in the paint and 10 on the fast break.
Clark Atlanta held the advantage in second-chance points, 12-7, thanks to a 46-41 rebound advantage. CAU was able to grab 13 offensive boards.
