Box Score Atlanta, Ga.---Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers fell in straight sets (21-25, 12-25, 14-25) to non-conference opponent Emmanuel College in their volleyball HOME opener at Epps Gymnasium Tuesday. After a hard fought first set, the Lady Panthers (4-11, SIAC 3-4) struggled offensively with only four kills in 22 attempts in the second set and five kills in 30 attempts in the third set. Cori Smith and Sierra Scoggins, the team's first and second leading hitters, respectively, led CAU with four kills each while Scoggins also contributed a game-high three blocks on the defensive end. As a team, CAU finished with 17 total kills compared to 42 for the Lady Lions. Clark Atlanta will look to rebound in its next HOME match Friday, Sept. 26th, against Concordia College at 6 p.m., in Epps Gymnasium.
