Boca Raton, FL---The Clark Atlanta University Lady Panthers volleyball team finished 0-4 in the Lynn University Tournament held in Boca Raton, Florida over the weekend.
CAU (0-4) dropped all of its matches in straight sets to Lynn University, Valdosta State, Assumption College and put up a valiant effort to UPR-Mayaguez after leading two matches to one, but falling 15-11 in the final set. Clark Atlanta's top hitters in the tournament were Chanel Trice, who led the team with 26 kills, followed by freshman Cori Smith with 25 and seniors Ashley Brooks (18) and Danica Lawrence (11). Junior Keierica Howard topped all players with five serving aces and Tyneishah Spears who added four.
The Lady Panthers will travel to Emmanuel College (9/11), before their home opener Tri-Match Friday, Sept. 14, against Emmanuel Collgeg at 3 p.m., and Toccoa Falls at 7 p.m. All CAU HOME games are played at Epps Gymnasium.
