Albany, GA (written by: Alyssa Latney) --- In a battle of the only two undefeated teams in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference’s (SIAC) East Division, it was the topped-ranked Lady Rams of Albany State over the second-ranked Lady Panthers of Clark Atlanta University in three straight sets (18-25, 15-25, and 19-25) Tuesday in Albany.

The Lady Panthers(14-10, SIAC 11-1) experienced their first conference loss after winning 11 consecutive conference games including victories over Benedict, Paine and Fort Valley last week.

Junior Chanel Trice and sophomore Alexandria Mattox both recorded a team high of six kills and Junior Tyneishah Spears had nine digs with junior Kailyn Blackmon close behind with seven.  

The next game for the Lady Panthers will be on the road Oct. 15^th against Talladega College before returning home for a re-match with Albany State Oct. 17^th at 6 p.m. in Epps Gymnasium.
