Atlanta native Tervont Johnson brings extensive experience in recruiting, coaching, player development, and professional baseball programming to the Clark Atlanta staff.
Johnson’s coaching and developmental background includes work with Georgetown University, Georgia Tech, the MLB Breakthrough Series, the Frederick Keys, the Surprise Saguaros, East Cobb Astros, Wow Factor National, Aggies USA, and the Atlanta Blues of the Sunbelt Collegiate League.
In 2020, Johnson helped facilitate the inaugural HBCU All-Star Game, creating an important platform for talented student-athletes from historically Black colleges and universities. Throughout his career, he has played a significant role in the development of numerous players who advanced to professional baseball, including Termarr Johnson, R.J. Austin, Druw Jones, C.J. Abrams, Jazz Chisholm Jr., Antonio Anderson, Dillon Head, Chandler Simpson, and Harry Ford.
At Clark Atlanta, Johnson oversees recruiting while directing the development of the Panthers’ infielders and base-running program. His deep relationships within Atlanta baseball, national recruiting networks, and professional player-development circles strengthen CAU’s ability to identify, recruit, and develop high-level student-athletes.
