Bob Shelton brings a distinctive combination of leadership, organizational management, championship-level baseball experience, and player development to the Clark Atlanta staff.
Shelton previously served as a United States Senate floor sergeant at arms, a role requiring exceptional professionalism, discretion, preparation, and attention to detail. In baseball, he served as associate head coach at nationally recognized Riverdale Baptist School and coached with the G3 national travel program, gaining extensive experience in team operations, player development, and high-level competition.
Shelton was also an integral member of Coach Rod White’s staff during Dillard University’s historic program turnaround. He helped strengthen the program’s daily operations, offensive preparation, practice organization, player accountability, and overall culture. His consistency behind the scenes helped create the structure necessary for Dillard to rebound from a 6–21 start, finish the 2024 season 14–6 under the new staff, and produce the first winning season in program history the following year.
At Clark Atlanta, Shelton coordinates the program’s day-to-day baseball operations while assisting with hitting instruction and overall player development. His administrative discipline and baseball knowledge provide the Panthers with an experienced leader capable of connecting operational excellence with on-field performance.
