Women's Tennis Improves to 8-2 After Downing Benedict 5-2 on Saturday

Lady Panthers tennis continues to excel in conference play

COLUMBIA, S.C. -- Clark Atlanta women's tennis continues to strive in conference play after taking down the Benedict Tigers 5-2 on Saturday afternoon at the Columbia Tennis Center. With the win the Lady Panthers improve to 8-2 overall with an 8-1 mark in SIAC play.

DOUBLES

The Lady Panthers took the doubles point after the pairing of Madison Moffatt and Wynter Clemons bested Patricia Wamba and Tanatswa Musabaeka 6-1 in the number one doubles spot. Clark Atlanta secured the doubles point after Gabrielle Blanks and Shani Idlette won by forfeit.

SINGLES

Clark Atlanta went 4-2 in singles play led by Gabrielle Blanks with a 7-6, 7-5 win in number two singles. Wynter Clemons secured her victory by winning in the number three spot 6-1, 6-1 over Benedict's Kennedy Vincent. In number five singles, Madison Moffatt took down Emi Smith 6-2, 6-4 before Keynon Thompkins won by forfeit to secure the singles point for Clark Atlanta and ultimately the win.
