ATLANTA, Ga. | THe Clark Atlanta Lady Panthers softball team took down Savannah State in back-to-back walk-offs to take a 2-0 series lead over the Lady Tigers. Sierra Lopez went a combined 5-for-6 at-bat to help propel the Lady Panthers to two straight wins.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Johannas Bentley singled to bring Jazmin Scott home for the first score of the day in the bottom of the first.
• Rachel Carroll picked up two RBIs on a single to give CAU a 3-0 advantage in the first.
• Ymari Blackmon doubled to bring Maliyah Ward and Andreya Hunter in for two more scores.
• Savannah State stormed back in the third and fourth innings to take a 6-5 lead over Clark Atlanta.
• Both teams traded runs until SSU held an 11-7 lead over CAU in the bottom of the seventh.
• Jazmin Scott and Jayla Hill each singled to ignite the comeback and bring CAU within two runs (11-9).
• Johannas Bentley singled through the right side to bring Scott and Lopez to tie the score at 11 apiece.
• Myia Lambert picked up a single to bring in T'Maja Oges Moore for the score and secure the walk-off win in game one.

• Ymari Blackmon got the start and the win on the mound for the Lady Panthers.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Johannas Bentley started game two identically to game one with a single to bring Jazmin Scott home for a score.
• Savannah State took a 3-1 lead at the top of the second.
• Myia Lambert doubled to left field to bring Ymari Blackmon home in the fourth and cut the margin down to one (3-2).
• Rasheedah Hasan picked up a run on a Sierra Lopez triple to even the score at three in the bottom of the fifth.
• SSU picked up two runs in the sixth to stretch the lead back to two.
• Sarah Colbert picked up a single to give Rachel Carroll a run and cut the deficit back to one (5-4)
• Johannas Bentley hit a walk-off double to put CAU in front 6-5 and pick up a second-straight win.

• Jayla Hill pitched all seven innings for Clark Atlanta.
