ATLANTA, Ga. - Clark Atlanta softball dominated from the home field as the panthers swept the three-game series versus SIAC opponent Paine College. CAU gave up just one run over the three games.

HOW IT HAPPENED (FRIDAY - W | 14-0)
Clark Atlanta utilized six runs in the first inning on four hits to take the advantage.

Kayla Montague.
Shalonda Woods scored on an error by Paine before
Chase Gray-Still scored on the RBI double down the line in left by
Tatianna Kelly to open the scoring. Sharnita Woods, Kelly and
Cailla Williams crossed home in the first inning.

Gray-Still picked up the second inning RBI on a sacrifice bunt before CAU scored six times in the third and once again in the fourth for the victory.

Jacey Gray tallied three hits with
Shalonda Woods and Williams each picking up two - Woods and Williams would also score three times apiece. Gray-Still ended the game with three RBI.

Shalonda Woods pitched the one-hit complete game to pick up her fourth victory of the season by striking out seven batters with just one walk. The strikeout total represents a season-high.
HOW IT HAPPENED (SATURDAY GAME 1 - W | 17-1)
Paine scored the lone run of the series in the top of the first inning on a passed ball to take the 1-0 lead.

Clark Atlanta scored four times in each of the first three innings and five more times in the fourth inning.

The final runs of the game came as
Sharnitra Woods hit her seventh homerun of the season with two runners aboard in the fourth inning.

Woods and Kelly each recorded three hits in the game while Kelly and
Khalayla Joseph would scored four times each. Woods registered four RBI in the first game of the doubleheader.

Vason was honored pregame as the lone 2017 senior from the softball team and pitched the complete game (1-2) giving up just three hits while striking out five batters. At the plate she went 2-for-2 with three RBI and scoring twice.
HOW IT HAPPENED (SATURDAY GAME 2 - W | 8-0)
Shalonda Woods (5-9) pitched her second complete game of the weekend and struck out six batters and allowed just four hits.

Sharnitra Woods hit her second homerun of the day in the second inning with one runner on for the early 2-0 lead for CAU. She would start the scoring in the fourth inning with the RBI double to left field bringing in Kelly. Woods would be the lone Panther with multiple hits in the game by going 2-for-2 with two runs scored and three RBI.

Shalonda Woods singled up the middle for the final two RBI of the inning a Gray and
Caitlyn Williams scored.

With the Panthers leading 7-0 to start the home fifth inning
Laterria Jones stood at second base after reaching on a error by Paine.
Shikyra Jones picked up the pinch-hit RBI-single to right field for the final run of the series.
SERIES NUMBERS:
Sharnitra Woods led CAU with six hits in the series going 6-for-8. She totaled 14 bases and had a slugging percentage of 1.750 while leading the panthers with seven RBI.

Kelly scored seven times for the team high  with Gray-Still scoring six times.

Shalonda Woods went 2-0 with two complete games. Over 10 innings pitched she struck out 13 and walked just one while not allowing a run on just five hits.
Montague went 7-for-7 in stolen base attempts.
